Chapter Expectations

✔️ Meet at least once per week during the competition season
✔️ Collaborate with fellow chapters in your city to host a workshop within 3 months of formation
✔️ Submit at least one complete entry to the IAIIC 2025 competition
✔️ Send at least one volunteer to assist if a local AI Equity workshop is happening nearby
✔️ Maintain a public-facing social media account sharing updates on your chapter

✅ You must be affiliated with a registered AI Equity Project chapter to compete in AIIC. Challenges are open to all
✅ You may not train a model. If fine-tuning is necessary for your solution, please contact kiran@theaiequityproject.org
✅ Entries must be original work from your team. Novel solutions will inherently recieve higher scores
✅ International submissions are welcomed
✅ All action items must be submitted by listed deadlines to be scored. If a deadline is missed a score of zero is assigned
✅ Submissions may benefit hundreds or just one person. You just must demonstrate application of the solution
✅ Final submissions must include either a 4-page report or 3+ minute video, a prototype or MVP, and a completed impact sheet. You are encouraged to submit a proposal, but it is not mandatory. You must submit an intro video as outilined on the problem sheet.

Rules are purposefully limited. Think outside the box.

Generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) may be used in preparing your entry. However:

You must fact-check all content it generates
You must disclose where it was used in your submission materials
Failure to do so may result in disqualification or score reduction at the discretion of judges and the Executive Director
