Short, focused competitions with real rewards and global recognition.
Our monthly challenges are fast-paced, high-impact opportunities to demonstrate your creativity, technical thinking, and leadership in applying AI to real-world problems. Despite their simplicity, these challenges are highly regarded by employers, university programs, and summer institutes alike.
Each month, we release a new challenge. All thatβs required is a two-page report (further template provided with challenge announcement):
Identify a publicly available dataset that contains social, demographic, or algorithmic bias β and propose concrete methods to mitigate that bias.
For example, you might analyze gender representation in a job recommendation dataset or geographic skew in disaster response data. Your submission should highlight the bias, suggest data preprocessing or modeling changes to address it, and reflect on the broader impact of those biases.
Winners are announced monthly and placed into one of three categories:
Challenges are international β students from any country can win and be recognized globally.
